Be Wary at the Estuary Traditional Cache
KrysAdlers: Too bad. The guardian is gone and have not been able to replace it in a reasonable period of time so am going to archive it with regret.

This cache is at an estuary that has parking nearby. Look for eagles and herons and enjoy. Bring your own writing stick.
We moved to Campbell River from a land-locked place and love looking at, learning about and living near the ocean. One of the things we learned about was what exactly an estuary was. The cache is located at a small oceanside area that has a battered sign talking about estuaries. In case it isn't readable, quite simply, an estuary is where a river meets the ocean in a semi-protected area that is then affected both by fresh and salt water. These areas are important to salmon and usually high in biodiversity.
After the shipwreck in 2012 and the prior cache being plowed under, I moved it back from the water near the estuary sign. Please take a walk out on the point and look down at the estuary area, as birds and seals hang out there.
