Forsse bruk anlades av J.E. Clason 1804 och övertogs därefter av Graninge bruk. Där utfördes i huvudsak stångjärns- och manufaktursmide. År 1868 fanns 125 barn i skolan. 1883 brann smedjan i Forsse ned. 1907 tillkom Forsse kraftverk.
I Forsse finns både en äldre järnbruksmiljö (herrgård och lagerlokaler) och en yngre "bruksmiljö" med bostäder för anställda vid vattenkraftverket. Det är en liten idyll.
När E.On förvärvade Graninge 2004 övertogs även Forsse bruk. Två år senare såldes bruksområdet till Johnny Granlund, ägare till Fliesbergs sport.
Forsse Iron Factory was built in 1804 and was active into the 1880's. In 1907, the hydro-electric power station was built. There are still several buildings from the old iron factory, as well as a community for power station workers. It's a small idyll.
