Century Oak Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Norshley: I can't think of a way to rehide this cache in the same way as it existed, now that the tree is kaput. I've started to cut up the branches of the tree, and BaconWarrior is coming next week to prepare some Big Ass Slabs out of the trunk of this once-great tree. Sadly, it is time to retire this one. My first cache hide. Will have to think up a good new replacement hide to take its place. Thanks to all for visiting and your generous favourite points.

Geocache Description:

Close to Old Victoria Rd., parking along the side of the road. Look for the big oak tree. You can pull up onto the grass a little if it's not too wet. Be careful of impatient drivers and fast-driving traffic.

This cache is on my own property, so there's no worries about permission to access it. If the neighbours ask what you're looking for (they look out for each other's property on my street), just tell them it's a treasure hunt that I (Rob) have set up for people to find. This is my first cache; hope you enjoy it!

Accessible to all, no rough terrain or long hikes. The cache is small and camouflaged. I've added a decoy pseudo-cache to help you if you're looking in the wrong place! You'll have fun finding this one. Please return the cache carefully to its camouflaged location!

Congrats to Dawgpound23 for a quick FTF.
