CT has completed the bridges and paving to join CT/MA trails together. You can park at the junction of Phelps Rd and Quarry Rd either on the side of the road or in the parking lot near the field
You can park at the MA end where rail trail crosses route 168, N42 01.062 W72 46.272.
Be warned both areas have had breakins including our truck at the CT end.
Cache container is a small tube 1" X 6" attached with a magnet.
Just below the cache area, is where a earthen
dam once stood. This dam closed off the old canal path. Some
lakeside owners were not happy about the water levels so someone
ripped the dam apart. The town repaired the dam only to have it
ripped apart again!. The land owners must have won because its been
years and the dam hasn't been repaired. The lakes level is now 2
feet lower.
They are now, 11/3/13, doing something to the area again.
