Geocache Description:

This is a relative easy find, great park and grab.

Our first hide, and this was inspired by other guardrail series in other counties, the Wholly G'rail caches are designed to be quick P&G's for the busy cacher, because you know when you're on a long trip, you don't have a lot of time to stop and hunt.

I chose this location because it seemed to be the safest in the Red Rose city and had some history to go with it.

This g'rail is located near the site where the oldest surviving dwelling in Lancaster, known as Kilburnie was once located. Kilburnie was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The home faced demolition in 1998 and was rescued and relocated to Craig Farm just north of Lancaster. You can read about the Kilburnie history at the link above. The home is now a bed and breakfast located north of Lancaster on Craig Farm.

I would suggest that you park in the County administration building parking lot and walk along the sidewalk to the cache. Beware of muggles in nearby buildings and in the passing mugglemobiles. Be stealthy and this should be an easy find. Bring your own writing instrument.

Free Chic-fil-a for FTF.
