I saved my favorite color, red, for the last month in this series. I meant to tie it into July 4, celebration, independence and all that kind of stuff.
Instead, what kept coming to mind was Little Red, my much loved '94 Honda Civic hatchback.
Little Red and I commuted to Seattle for 9 years on days when I couldn't take the bus. After retirement, LR took me on many great caching trips to places where many cars just won't go. LR, LY and I were a great caching team. (you can find the original LY at April is Yellow - Old (Antique?) Favorites by ohjoy! (GC1QPH2))
This cache is placed at the spot where, on the daily commute home, both LR and I would breathe a sigh of relief. We had made it safely down I-5, across the Nisqually River, up this last steep hill, and across the railroad bridge. It was clear sailing from here and we knew we would be home within 5 minutes.
Little Red - I loved you so.
I wish I hadn't let you go.
I miss you.
