Spettacolare costruzione militare medievale posta su una rocca a strapiombo sul Lago di Como nel comune di Varenna.
Per arrivare al Castello (raggiungibile unicamente a piedi 10 min.) si attraversa un piccolo borgo, abitato nei mesi invernali da non più di 30 persone. La salita in cima alla torre, passando attraverso un ponte levatoio perfettamente funzionante, poi nei sotterranei costruiti durante la prima guerra mondiale e facenti parte della linea difensiva Cadorna, sono i luoghi che si possono visitare. Il castello è anche centro di allevamento ed addestramento rapaci, dal falconiere, viene illustrata la tecnica di caccia e la metodologia di addestramento di questi stupendi uccelli, oltre che mostrata una fase di allenamento che prevede un rapace completamente libero di volare e le varie tecniche di richiamo. Il cache, che contiene tutto il necessario, è nascosto lontano da sguardi curiosi, momentaneamente nel sentiero che arriva da valle, in quanto è cambiata e ricambierà presto la via definitiva per arrivare all’ingresso  del Castello. Lo troverete facilmente nascosto da pietre. Buona caccia.
