This area is a
Fairfax County Park
Authority property but is not signposted as such.
It is undeveloped but has easy trails and little
undergrowth.
You can park at the end of Pine Valley Drive.
The cache is a 1.2 quart plastic latch box, 7-3/8''L x 5-5/8''W
x 3-1/4''H, clear with light blue latch handles, similar to
this but half as deep.
Kids can walk right up to the cache. The trail is wide enough
for a stroller. Watch out for possible poison ivy or briars.
The cache includes a multi-color pen - please sign the logbook
in a color different from the last entry to make a
"ra
inb
ow log". (There is also a pencil
for cold weather.)
The cache is placed in accordance with
FCPA
guidelines. These guidelines include the following:
- Geocachers must abide by all Park Authority
rules,
regulations, and other restrictions. This specifically includes
park access times. Unless posted otherwise, all Park Authority
parks are open from Dawn to Dusk. Night Caching in Park
Authority parks is expressly forbidden.
