Secret Grotto Traditional Cache

bflentje: Reluctantly, but unapologetically, this cache is being archive to make room for some Esko-fun. Born on 07/18/2009, this cache survived seven canoe events, acquired 22 favorites, and was pooped on by dozens, perhaps hundreds, of bobcats and raccoon. I ran the river today and picked up the goods. In spite of the three recent DNFs, the cache was there in place all safe and sound (see picture). Hoping to see a new high star cache near this spot in the coming days.

Geocache Description:

Cannon Valley Geocaching

This geocache is part of a series placed within the Cannon River valley. Some of these caches were meant to be accessed by boat (canoe, kayak, innertube, etc), some by bicycle, and some by hiking. Look at the ratings and attributes to determine which equipment you should be using.

The terrain rating once you arrive on location is 3.0 or possibly higher depending on how nimble you are.

You are looking for a regular sized container stuffed with a log and some goodies. It is located in the paddling route from Cannon Falls to Miesville Ravine. Please place the container back as you found it and do not disturb any of the nearby wildlife.

The coordinates were attained by averaging over 100 samples.
