BFL Boot Camp IV - MuggleScript Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

northernpenguin: I had every intention of fixing this up but big changes to my home and work life over the last year, including my move from Halton to Waterloo, has really kept me from fixing this up. I'm going to archive the cache and use the pieces/concepts in a future cache instead. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed finding this cache as much as I enjoyed putting it out. I'll be out in the next few weeks to pick up the remaining game pieces.

MuggleScript

The quest offers four challenges to those that seek MuggleScript, the ancient parchment. It remains here, undisturbed in these woods, as the developments of your modern world encroach upon this Olde Forest.

It is said that by visiting this place and inscribing your names upon the parchment, that you will become immune to the gazes of muggles. While you would be wise to leave this script to rest in the darkness, there is a way to visit this place. Follow the Olde Forest Road, and confront 3 challenges along the way, each requiring a unique solution. Be warned: This is a long and perilous journey that will take you into the wilds of the Forest.

The Gatekeeper's Test

You must first seek out the Gatekeeper of the Olde Forest Road. From the posted coordinates, seek out the gate very close by, and follow the orange eyes to the Gatekeeper’s home. His home is to the left of the gate a short distance. Here you will be presented with the first challenge.

The Gatekeeper often gets bored, as many days will pass without a single visitor to these parts. He has devised a way to amuse himself while he is here. While he knows the Olde Forest well, he is often amused by leading travellers astray.

You must be sure of your path before you set off on the next part of your journey. All is not always as it seems.

The Second Challenge: Night Vision

You next meet a band of Elves that camp in these woods. These Elves live within a colony of Entmoot. They have the ability to communicate with the Entmoot in a most unique way. It will be your task to learn this language before you will learn of the next step in your quest.
There is a cache container here. Make sure you find it before proceeding

The Third Challenge: Perseverance

Your travels will eventually lead you to the ancient Golems of the deeper woodlands. These Golems are not fond of visitors at all - many times they will remain perfectly still as to not attract your attention. They WILL be watching you so take care not to offend them. Nothing ruins the day quite so fast as getting slammed (in)to the ground by an angry giant. If you are respectful, you may find one of the Elders are willing to share the location of the MuggleScript. These Rock Golems detest any type of noise, climbing over them, harming the forest or clumsily waving torches around.

MuggleScript

It is vital that you carefully scribe your names onto the MuggleScript and replace it precisely where you found it. Do not attempt to take the MuggleScript with you, as a terrible curse will be cast upon your party if the parchment is moved from its resting place. If you remove one of the treasures nearby, be sure to place another one in its place lest you anger the Forest Gods.
