The cache is located a stones throw from the Loosley Row Baptist Church Cemetery. The church itself closed in December 2001 has recently been converted into a residential property but the cemetery remains and is still in use.
Loosley Row: this name derives from the old english hlose-leah, and means 'pigstye-clearing'.
A plaque on the entrance to the cemetery lists the names of 12 men from the neighbourhood who gave their lives in World War I. The views from the cemetery and other local caches make it well worth stopping by but equally this can be achieved as a cache and dash from car, bike or foot.
Once you are done, at the top of the hill is The Whip Inn which makes a fantastic spot for lunch and a pint.
The cache itself is a magnetic 35mm canister containing log only. I may add a pencil at a later date but for the moment you will need to bring your own pen or pencil. The cache is not in the cemetery.
