You should fully read the following before beginning
your NIGHT-TIME Adventure.
Yes, this is the
area’s first, that I am aware of, NIGHT ONLY cache and
is not recommended for the faint-of-heart. It is not findable in
the daylight. The posted coordinates will take you to a place, a
place where creatures both day and night roam freely. The cache is
located on state game lands so please obey the rules with wearing
orange during hunting season. Beyond the normal attire, you will
need the following: A very good flashlight, the attached map, and a
normal compass. You should also translate the name of this cache as
it is a Celtic Warning to you.
Your adventure will start by parking at the posted coordinates.
From here, you venture into the groves of trees under the blue veil
of the night. Creatures will be watching you and your every move.
The moons light will cause shadows of the trees to appear and
disappear which will unease your strongest will to continue.
Your quest is to find the cache, which is resting at the end of an
Illuminated Path. The Illuminated Path will only be visible at
night by the light of your flashlight. To find the Illuminated
Path, you will need 2 sets of coordinates. The first set will get
you a point on a trail to reduce bushwhacking and the second set
will get you to the start of the Illuminated Path. However, you
must first locate 6 medallions with numbers to complete the
2 needed coordinate sets.
“Trail Point”:
N40-33.ABC / W078-28.DEF
Start of “Illuminated Path”: N40-33.ABC /

About the
Map
Attached is a map that
will be required for your search. The map marks 6 diamonds,
coordinates to each diamond, and a bearing. Each diamond will be
the location to start your search for a medallion. All the diamond
coordinates are taken from the center of the trail on the map. Once
you get to a chosen diamond location, use a compass to align
yourself with the noted magnetic north bearing. Begin walking in
that general bearing direction shining your flashlight all around
until the medallion is found. All the medallions are hanging on
trees and within 120 paces or so, some near and some far, of the
trail.
About the
Medallions
Each of the 6
medallions: A, B, C, D, E, and F, will contain two digits. Once you
have located a medallion, flip it up to reveal a letter, and two
numbers. The letter represents the number’s position in the
two needed coordinate sets. The first number below the letter is
for the “Trail Point” coordinate set and the second
number below the letter is for the “Illuminated Path”
coordinate set.
Final
Cache Location
As you venture down the
Illuminated Path, you will be looking for a tree with 3
“illuminators”. Once at this tree, look carefully for
the ammo box.
Some final thoughts....... Good Luck!
