This is in Saltwater State Park, a part of it that many miss. Ample parking is available on the left side of the entrance road just after entering the park. Cache is down a short trail from the parking lot. Not my first choice for the hide, but some areas of the park were off limits to caches. Be sure to visit the trail on the other side of the the parking lot which leads out to a beautiful viewpoint of Puget Sound. It's a spot my wife and I like to visit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Visiting in the morning when the mist is on Puget Sound or in the evening when the sun is setting over the Olympic Mountains is a real treat. Note - please respect park hours of 8 AM to dusk and please stay on the trail (no need to venture off).
- The geocache may be placed on Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission managed property only by written permission from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
- The following items shall not be placed in the geocache: Food items; illegal substances; medications; personal hygiene products, pornographic materials; inappropriate, offensive, or hazardous materials or weapons of any type. Log books are required for each cache and are to be provided by the owner of the cache.
