In 1978 the Little League Softball All-Stars went to the state tournament in Waco. I played center field. I can’t remember who we played in the final game, but I can remember the excitement. We won! Yea! State Champs! On to regionals in Florida. When we returned home we had a watermelon party at Cherry Park and got our pictures in the paper. I spent many summers playing ball at this field. It looks a lot different now than back in the day. Have fun visiting the site of my former glory.
