C&N 11 Common as Hough Traditional Cache

Cache No. 11 on the Crewe and Nantwich Circular walk. A round trip of 28 miles on flat but, at times, muddy fields and canal tow paths.
This little area is Hough Common, an area of land designated as a county site of biological importance (grade B), so have a good explore. Those on bikes can arrive via the National Cycle Network Route 70. You have the right to roam under the CRoW act of 2000. Check the web link for details.
There is parking close by, (this is the C&N walk, so no coordinates for brum brums here). You have a small football pitch with goals, pick-nick benches, loads of room to run around; and of course, the woods, so bring the little ones.
A couple of things to look out for close by are Hough Hall, a red-brick house dating originally from the 17th century; both the house and its wrought-iron entrance gates, which date from the early 18th century, are listed as grade II and also, Hough Manor, a grade II listed red-brick country house dating from the mid-18th century.
As with many a good cache, there is a pub within a good stones throw, but I bet you won't have time to stop unless this is your last cache of the day!
