Valley View Traditional Cache

Located on Twelve Mile Summit along the Steese Highway north of Fairbanks, this cache will take the cacher above the treeline for sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

This cache is about 4 miles (round trip) along the Pinnell Mountain Trail and follows an established boardwalk for the first mile when the cacher then follows the trail up the ridgeline heading north.

A unique triangular rock marks the spot for this cache that almost appears like an ancient pyramid as the cacher closes in on the location.

This cache will probably not be available in winter due to snow cover and wind conditions.
