Another cache by the Socal4x4Geocachers along the famous
RubiconTrail. The eastern end of the trail here near Lake Tahoe and
Tahoma has been pretty barren of caches. We had originally planned
to place caches along each of the lakes near the trail, but once
again ran short on time. While this cache is technically on the
Rubicon Trail (or at least near the start of it), the road in is
paved up to this point. So any type of vehicle can make it to this
point. Only those with suitable vehicles prepared for the trail
ahead should proceed further then observation point.
The cache you are seeking is an ammo can. It is hidden not too
far off the road. It should be assessable during the winter given
the placement. If the tree cover is giving you problems, use the
spoiler pic attached. Enjoy!
