Located with a magnificent view of the Deschutes river and small lake, this spot here is one of my favorite places to sit, take it all in, and think for yourself in the busy lives we all lead (It's even better towards dusk!). You can approach the cache from either the Points West trailhead (Inn At The Seventh Mountain), Meadow Camp, or Lava Island. The cache is located within a pretty rocky area, so wear good shoes and probably should avoid bringing the kids on this one (They can watch from up above though). Some bushwhacking may be required depending which way you go, but it's better to go to the top of the rocks and climb down. You'll be looking for a small glass container, big enough to hold a pencil and tiny logbook, and possibly a very small item if you can get it in there. Enjoy!
