Geocache Description:

This is a nice long walk to the foot of Rabbit Lake and #2 in the Body By Geocache series. This series is dedicated to getting you out into the wild and getting the heart pumping, the blood flowing through the veins and the metabolism jumping and burning some calories. Geocaching has taken me many great places and allowed me to experience a plethora of wonders and helped me lose weight and get in shape. It can do the same for you.

Bring your camera as this place is breathtaking. Bring your fishing pole and enjoy the alpine lake fishing. This is what Alaska is all about.

You may want to bring a tent and stay for the night as this area will draw you in. It is the closest majestic mountain alpine lake to Anchorage.

Enjoy the hike, it is 1300’ elevation gain from the parking area on Canyon Road to the cache and will be 200’ elevation gain going back down. If you are up for it ride your mountain bike up and enjoy the white knuckle ride on the way out. Make sure you wear your helmet as the rocket ride down the trail is hoot. If you park inside the gate remember that it closes at 10:00pm and will not open again until the following morning.

Bring your lunch or dinner and have a picnic here, you will be glad you did.

Don’t forget to take note of what is written inside the cache as you may need it for future caches in the series.

Please bring a small Ziploc bag to put the log and pencil in if you are the FTF, I ran out of them in my caching bag at the time I placed this. Thanks,
