This is a short Multi cache. The above co-ordinates are not for the cache but for a lay-by with a memorial to Banff strike wing.
Boyndie aerodrome opened in 1943 as a training facility but was disbanded in 1944. Banff Strike wing operated from between 1944 and 1945 with Beaufighters and Mosquito’s. Please take time to read the various plaques on the memorial for more info.
To collect the info required please read the plaques in front of the trees, the seat and the Memorial itself.
The Cache sight is approximately 0.75miles from the lay-by. The Cache is hidden very near a parking spot but on a corner so please take care when retrieving Cache as the road can sometimes be busy with Lorrys.
A = Second number at second tree from East (2?5)
B= Second number of first year on large plaque on south side of large pillar (1?44)
C = Last number at second tree from East (23?)
D = Forth number of second year on large plaque on south side of large pillar (194?)
E = First number of year on seat (?007)
F =First number at third tree from East (?33)
G = Last number at fifth tree from East (24?)
H = Add the last number at third tree from East (33?) to first number at second tree from East (?35)
I = Add the last number at sixth tree from East (14?) to the first number at fifth tree from East. (?48)
J = Add the first third and fourth numbers on the first year on the large plaque on south side of
large pillar (?9??)
