Another cache by ShowStop along the famous Rubicon Trail. Buck Island Lake is a rather scenic area and a popular spot to camp along the Rubicon Trail. The area near the cache is a less frequently used camping area on the lake. It is only a few hundred feet from the trail itself, but do not drive your vehicle to this location. Vehicles must stay within the 25ft centerline of the main trail. There is room for parking just NW of the cache before the door eater S-turn in the trail. Hike the last 250ft to the cache.
The cache you are seeking is an ammo can. It is well hidden in a rock pile. Due to the close proximity to camp sites, please be sure to hide the container well so that muggles will not accidentally discover it. Enjoy the trail!
