The name of this cemetery came from the name of the town that used to be located here...Cannonsburg was founded the same year as Chicago. This used to be a railroad town. The railroad and town are both now gone. Chicago, obviously lived on probably due to the Lake next to it.You can park along the driveway in the cemetery and take a short walk to the cache.
The "SQ" in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries and memorial gardens. This cache is part of that series created by NWOGEO members to highlight cemeteries or memorial gardens in the area. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours which are typically sunrise to sunset.
