Geocache Description:

The cache is a magnetic 35mm film pot placed approximately 1m above ground level.

This cache highlights Eastbourne Redoubt Fortress (visit link)

You do not need to enter the Redoubt Fortress to find this cache.
If you decide to visit (check the opening times), entry to the central Parade Ground and Outpost is free.

Redoubt Fortress:
The Redoubt Fortress is one of only three surviving Napoleonic Redoubts in the UK and is recognised by English Heritage as being of national importance!

The Redoubt Fortress has over 200 years of history. It was built during the Napoleonic wars. This unique fortification was also used during World Wars I and II and tells a fascinating story of military campaigns all over the world.

Wheelchair access to the Fortress:
Wheelchair access is possible but currently needs to be arranged with the organisers in advance.
Please note that wheelchair access is from sea side of the Fortress.
