Geocache Description:

Located within Watermead Country park, in an area that links the City side of the Park to the County side. Plenty of access and parking in the village of Thurmaston. a convienient stile is located at:N 052° 40.591 W001° 06.077, with less than 1/2 a mile to GZ

This is my 2nd cache and once again located within Watermead Country park. This cache is named Wild Geese, because the grassy area along the side of the river can often be covered with hundreds of Canadian Geese, Ducks and swans all taking off & landing like an international airport for birds. A word of warning it could also have been named the mine-field (not exploding mines, but the big yucky ones left behind by the geese, watch your step or wear your wellies!!) This is a nice cache to find if you have just found the Watermead Mammoth, as it will take you in the direction of the other caches located further along the park. It is also only a quarter of a mile from Watermead Walk (GC1NENM) if you can fly over the river with the geese, or take a nice stroll along the river to the bridge & locks then back down the other bank to this cache.

The cache is a small plastic container that has been camouflaged to try and ward off muggle eyes, and also covered with some local camouflage please replace this when returning the cache to its hiding place.
Upon placing the cache, it contained a log book and pencil, mini bike bell, some keyrings, a bluetooth dongle and some other little swaps.

Well Done!!!! to Del & Gem First to find 24/07/2009
