In 1991 the Foothills United Methodist Church's Youth Group began an annual tradition of putting on an original musical comedy as a combination fundraiser and way to teach the kids from the junior and senior high youth groups to work together toward a common goal.
This cache is located in Folsom in a location with a great view of Vista del Lago HS, where my two oldest attend. This school sports state of the art in almost everything, except, unfortunately, budget. The gorgeous swimming pool has only been used infrequently due to lack of heating funds, and the football field can only be used for practices as they do not have a press box or other seating to qualify for official California State HS games.
The eleventh FUMC production, "Jack and the Mean Jock" was was the tenth of the FUMC plays completely written from scratch by Gplamy and wife. It was performed in the spring of 2004. It followed the adventures of Goldilocks and her brother as they meet up with Red Riding Hood and Jack. The four adventurers soon head up the famous beanstalk in search of fabulous treasures that undoubtedly await them there. Following them closely, however, is a scoundrel who wants to steal the treasure that Jack plans on stealing from the giant.
