Geocache Description:

The slight departure from the path makes this a bit harder to reach than the rating implies. All but the last few feet is wheelchair accessible.

This cache celebrates the filling in of another gap in the San Francisco Bay Trail. The Bay Trail is envisioned as a 500-mile network of contiguous hiking and biking paths that encircles the bay. Currently 290 miles of the trail is complete. The completion of this segment allows the traversal of the trail from Sierra Point to SamTrans Peninsula. At least 10 other caches (and some excellent birding opportunities: (visit link) are within striking distance along this stretch of shoreline.

Public parking is available outside Genentech Building 47. Make sure you use the area marked for "Bay Trail Access".
