In a popular area overlooking the Medina estuary a short distance from the start of the cycle track
Festival View by i.o.w.troop
This area is very popular for dog walkers and people having picnics after their cycle ride along the Cowes to Newport cycle track, it is an area used a lot by swans and various other birds and gives a great view of Newport quay and the river Medina.
It also supplies hundreds of people a free viewing&listening point for the Isle of Wight pop festival held every year in Seaclose park opposite, people camp here for the weekend, bring their picnics and there is usual a great atmosphere to be had.
This is my 1st hide and I hope not my last as I have seem to have caught the Caching bug, have placed my 1st geocoin here and I hope Cantona the big head travels far and wide riding rollercoaster’s along the way and photo’s of him doing so would be greatly received.
The cache is a small Tupperware box very close to the river bank edge and not accessible at high tide, stealth will be needed in this popular area and it will be muddy when wet.

This area is on the boundary of a area of the Fairlee Site of Special Scientific Interest so please be extra careful not to disturb anything,permission has been granted for the cache so please take care.
the cache will be removed the week of the festival itself,to many muggles will be about
plenty of on road parking nearby&car park for the cycle track.
