Geocache Description:

Pen, pencil, sharpener and rubber are not swaps.

Please could this box be hidden the best it can in it's hiding hole and be told when the paper is getting low.
Best place to go into the tree line is about 15m down the main path from opposite cache. Go nearer to start of path and a way in to tree line, no need to bend over double and push into trees, is easier way if you look.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The station was built by the Abingdon Railway and the Great Western Railway had operation rights. The relationship between The Abingdon Railway company and the GWR was never a good one and ultimately the Great Western Railway took over the entire branch in 1904.
The line passed on to the Western Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948, and was then closed to passengers by the British Railways Board in 1963. However the branch was used by freight, notably MG Cars, and the occasional passenger excursion, the last of which took place in 1984.

The branch track was lifted in the late 1980s. (visit link)

If you want to see photos and other memories from this station look at this web site that is really good and contains lots of good stuff. (visit link)

Try the google earth plug in on the download tab, can see where the line went to join up near Radley.

Best get to this after the first micro cache by Waitrose by just following the cycle track/footpath and into the businesses car park and walk by them, past the childrens play center and go into Crabtree Place. Then now here to do this.

Going onto Audlett Drive from Radley Road a short distance and turn off to the right if going down to the Public car park, this is a pay and display. Could do the lot from there as just a walk up the old railway line to the top. Would think this would be no more than 2 and a bit hours. Crabtree Place, right by this cache has a car park that is for the Abbey Centre. Proberly OK to use if nothing happening and empty, not sure and take no responsibility!

This contains letter B for the bonus.
Now onto cache 3.
