Let me show you a place that has been well known by generations of Bolton children. The cigarette tunnel is Bolton's strangest landmark. If you ask anyone in Bolton they should be able to tell you where it is, probably because they once played there. Even if you have never heard of it you will have driven over it many times. Why is it called the cigarette tunnel? You will have to go and visit it to find out! You can park on Walker Fold Road. I'll tell you 3 ways to get there.
1) Drop down the bank on the Barrow Bridge Side. This is the shortest and hardest way. Don't do it with young children. It will be a lot harder when its wet. The terrain rating reflects this route. This is the way I went today and I slipped and went all the way down on my backside! Even at the bottom there still work to do, you will have to cross the river twice.
2) Follow the path down to Walker Fold Woods. At first this seems a much easier way, BUT you have to walk through the tunnel!
3) The easiest and longest way. Follow the river upstream from Barrow Bridge.
Please rehide the cache well. This place has been and still is the secret hangout for generations of Bolton's children.
