This cache is between Seaside and Astoria in the 165 acre
Cullaby Lake County Park, placed with the County's permission. It's
a great park with lots of trails and things to explore.
This cache is an ammo box located very near the parking area
south of the weigh station on 101 and about 100 feet north of
Anderson Road. EDIT:There is now (June 2010) a $3 pay station at
this entrance. There's something of a trail that will lead you
there - any bushwacking will be minor. There are some low thorns -
they're not thick but you'll still want to be wearing long
pants.
By the way - if you'd like to get all 7 caches currently hidden
in this area there is a nice well-maintained trail loop that will
take you to all of them. Half of it is paved and half is gravel. To
do the whole loop would be a hike of less than a mile and a half.
Although most maps don't show it there is a nice gravel trail that
forms the north side of the loop, basically connecting The
Cocoanuts and Dos Trees. You could even bike the whole thing, but
you'd need to chain up and go on foot to reach Real Genius and The
Biggest Tree Around.
