This short stroll from the Old Drove Road parking area will take you to a bench situated at one of the most magnificent views in the Stirling area, a panorama of the mountains to the north of Gillies Hill. Starting on the west beyond Flanders Moss you can see Ben Venue which is located in the Trossachs near Loch Katrine.
Moving eastwards you will then see Ben Ledi located north-west of Callander, Next in line are Stùc a' Chroin and Ben Vorlich, and near Crieff, Ben Chonzie.
Further east you can see the Ochils with Dumyat and Ben Cleuch.
In the foreground to the north you can see the crag and tail formation of Craigforth as well as that of Stirling Castle to your far right.
Behind you is Gillies Hill, a wonderland of trails used by hikers, mountain bikers, rock climbers and geocachers!
Gillies Hill contains an Iron Age dun and hill fort as well as the ruined Polmaise castle and is home to an amazing array of animals and plants including a record Scots Pine and Rowan.
