Mr. Lizzie, being the ramblin' creature he is,
not to mention some problems with his landlady, decided he was
ready for a change of scenery and has moved on up to some new digs.
Not to worry, the boys still remain in town.
The other day I was waxing nostalgia to my
college days at UC Davis and if you've ever waxed your nostalgia,
you know what a treat that is.
I remember going to a concert at the Cow Palace in 1978 with a
group of friends from the dorm. The opening act was the emerging
rock band, The Cars, and the headliner was Kansas.
The middle act was an Irish hard rock band whose original name was
Tin Lizzie. This was inspired by a robot character in what is
claimed to be the world's longest running children's comic, The
Dandy. However when front man Phil Lynott was on the telephone
arranging a gig at a Dublin venue, the owner misheard the word Tin
as Thin, probably due to Phil's thick Dublin accent. The band
arrived at the venue to find themselves advertised as Thin Lizzy.
The name stuck.
The cache is a bison encompassed by an in-theme camo. Please be
careful not to remove the container from the camo as you may find
it difficult to put back. Please replace exactly as found to ensure
longevity.
