Three people have lost their dogs in the park! Your challenge is to figure out where the dogs went and then reunite each one with the correct owner. The challenge requires hiking about 1.5 miles over varied, easy terrain.
When you have reunited all the dogs with their owners, you will be given the coordinates for the physical cache. To complete this geocache, you must find the cache and sign the log.
This is a Wherigo cache. It requires a Wherigo compatible GPS and "The Wayward Dogs" cartridge available at (visit link)
The cache is in Homestead Ranch Regional Park in El Paso County, CO. Information and directions for the Park are available at (visit link) There are a number of other caches to be found here and there is a great playground for the kids. There are often people fishing in the pond (but I've never see anyone catch a fish.) Most of the trails in the park are open to horses, but horses are not allowed in some of the areas where this Wherigo cartridge takes place.
Note that the restrooms are closed from November through April and are often closed at other times of the year.
Make sure that you have the latest software installed on your GPS device. This cartridge works well with Version 3.10 on a Garmin Oregon, but previous versions may have problems.
