The Dick Huffman covered bridge is 265 feet long plus a 4 foot overhang on each end. It is a Howe truss bridge built in 1880 by an unknown builder. It is a 2-span bridge with cut stone abutments and piles with a sheet metal roof and is 16 feet wide and 15 feet high. The bridge was known in earlier days as the Wekty bridge named for the old Wekty Mill nearby.
I picked up a flyer at a rest area as I was traveling through Indiana on business. The bridges looked really interesting. This one was close to I-70, or so I thought. It is close physically but not easy to get to. The ride was beautiful. I decided to place a cache and hopefully show this beautiful old bridge to a few other travelers. I hope the local cachers enjoy it as well. I took the coordinates outside the bridge but the cache is inside.
