Geocache Description:

Located in a cool ravine in the Capital DistrictWildlife
Manegement Area.

We found this stream while
mountain
biking on a hot day in July.
Its water
is as cold and refreshing as any
high
altitude stream.  As soon as I saw it, I
knew it needed a cache.
When you leave the road and
head for the cache you will swear you are in the Adirondack
mountains.  In summer you can drive almost
right to the cache and park just off the dirt road.  In winter you may have
to park at the overlook area at Cherry Plain SP since
Black River rd. is used for snowmobiles when there is snow.
Some digging may be required if the snow is signifigant.
The cache is originally filled with hiking themed items so
please only trade for other hiking items.  Enjoy the area,
there is 4,153 acres here to explore.  Hunting is allowed
in season so please use caution.
