BEROCCACHE #1 – Ian Robbins Park
This is our first ever cache and will be the first of a series we plan to place. Hope this first one doesn’t eclipse the others… :-)
We have a number of parks around Alexander Heights but there are only a couple of caches in some and some with none at all!! We intend to change this!
Co-ords above are not obviously for the cache, but are for the parking area at the local shops next to the park.
This cache has 6 steps all inside the park. Each will lead you to the next step.
There are houses nearby and local kids do frequent the area, so please be careful of muggles.
Steps 1-4 are Berocca tins. These contain the co ordinates for the next cache in order.
Step 5 has no physical cache, but the LAST THREE of both the Southing and Easting co ords are marked and should be easily found. These co ords will lead you to the final cache.
STEP 1 - WHERE WAS VINNY?
**Due to Mother Nature, the starting point has been erased from view. Temporarily listing one more number in the co ords below**
If you look carefully, you may still be able to see it when you find the location.
To look for Vinny - S31 49.618 E115 52.4*9
Vinny wagged school and no knew where Vinny went. The Headmaster had a test for Vinny but he didn’t show up. Where was he…..?
This is the location for the first stage of the multi, however only part of the co-ords are given.
As Ian Robbins, after who this Park was named was a Headmaster at the local Alinjarra Primary School, you must first take Vinnys test to obtain the numbers to start this multi. Here you will find Vinnys hiding spot.
Q1 -Using the number 6 from the last 3 of the S co-ords, (ie 6**) adding between 5 and 9hrs,will give you the second number in these missing co ords. (ie 6am+5hrs=11am, so this could not be correct as its not a single number.)
If you are confident you have the correct 2nd number, ask yourself exactly the same question again but using the values you just found as this will confirm the third digit of the S co-ords if you are correct.
Q2 - Using the E co-ords the missing number is the same as one of the digits in these co-ords, but not the others.
STEP 2 – PALM IT OFF!
Just a short stroll away, the second step can be found. Nestled amongst some of the local native species,
cache will reveal the required missing co ords for step 3 of the multi.
STEP 3 – PORKYS CORNER.
Mate of mine lives opposite this corner of the park. His name is Porky, so it’s an obvious choice of name!
This cache will reveal the required missing co-ords for step 4 of this multi.
STEP 4 – PAPER BARK HOLLOW.
Guarded by natives, this cache will reveal the required missing co-ords to the next step of this multi.
STEP 5 – GOT IT NAILED!!
This cache is not a cache at all but if you look, you will find the required missing co ords to the final destination.
Using S31 49.*** E115 52.***
STEP 6 – HERE ‘TIS!!
The final cache is a Sistema container with a FTF certificate & prize, Second to find certificate, Finders Cards, log book & pencil.
