Skoven på fjorden - Ægholm Plantage

Ægholm Plantage er et synligt resultat af arbejdsløses indsats i den sidste halvdel af trediverne. Skoven er plantet på en sandet, men kalkrig fjordbund fyldt med strandskaller, som man kan se i de mange muldvarpeskud.

Ægholm Plantage er en blandingsskov af vores mest almindelige løv- og nåletræer, der giver grobund for et meget rigt fugle- og insektliv.

Langs de lysåbne skovstier er en rigdom af mange forskellige planter.

Midt i skoven findes en dejlig shelter plads, med bålsted og muldtoilet. Hvis du ønsker at bruge shelterpladsen, skal du booke her.

The Forrest in the Fjord - Ægholm Plantation

Ægholm Plantation is a visible result of the effort of unemployed in the late part of the 1930'ties. The Forrest is planted in a sanded, but chalk full fjord bottom, filled with beach shells, which you can see in the many molehills.

Ægholm Plantation is a mixed Forrest, containing our most common leaf- and needle trees, which gives foundation for at very rich bird- and insect life.

Along the open paths there is at richness of different plants.

In the middle of the forrest you find a nice shelter. If you want to use the shelter you must book here.
