Located on an Island in Beaver Lake, this cache can only be accessed by boat. Once on land you must acquire a signal through openings amongst the tree's. Our BSA Troop set these cache's during a four + mile canoe trip and I would encourage you to do the same as well. The terrain is not as steep as others. Elevation 1394. Hidden in ammo can fashion.
There is alot of pride in scouting along with tradition. This cache is hidden with an array of scouting patches, wood carving and a BSA coin. Sit a while and enjoy the silence!
From the Order of the Arrow!
We who bear the obligation
of the Order of the Arrow
Now in silent meditation
Mindful of our high tradition
And pondering that which is our added purpose,
Pledge ourselves to cheerful leadership.
This our purpose and intent,
Mark with silence, reverent.
There should fall a solemn silence,
O’er the brothers in our circle
For our thoughts should now be centered
On that noble goal and purpose
That hath called us together.
Leadership is the work that lies ahead of us
We face a new Ordeal in this work
But with strong knowledge
And guidance from our maker,
Our goal and purpose are clear.
This our purpose and intent,
Mark with silence, reverent.
Enjoy the outdoors as we do! Be careful and mindful of nature. Scouters like Cacher's "Leave No Trace", so cache in and carry out!
