Geocache Description:

This cache is located on an Island in Beaver Lake. Access is only by boat. Our BSA Troop placed this cache while on a 4+ mile canoe trip across the lake. Elevation is 1258. A Thank you to BSA Troop 100 for coming along!

This cache has been placed in traditional ammo can fashion. We named it after a patch located in the cache. "The Spirit of America". We have included many patches, an Arkansas snake guide, a coozie and a monkey fist knot!

Scout spirit applies to how a Scout lives and conducts his daily life. He shows Scout spirit by being a role model to his peers, living by the Scout Oath and Law. The outcome of Scout spirit is to help bring out the best in others as a reflection of a Scout's own character and attitude in his daily life. Scout spirit is the essence of scouting. Earning rank advancements and merit badges are important, but scout spirit goes way beyond that. "Scout Spirit" embodies the essence of what a true scout is made of.

The American spirit shines bright,
easily seen day and night,
in actions, words, and deeds
by all… regardless of beliefs and needs.

Enjoy and be be mindful of nature. Scouter's like Cacher's "Leave No Trace", so cache in and carry out!
