The Pole Vault Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

wykenwizard: This cache has been enjoyed by many over the several months it has been in place. Time though to let someone else have the pleasure of leaving their caches on the Greenway as I have hogged it for quite some time with several caches along the route.
Quite surprised that this one has lasted so well and in very good condition too..Also surprising was the fact that the quite expensive combination lock (2628) was still intact and hasn't been stolen like so many geo coins are in some parts of the country.

Thanks to everyone who has visited this cache and left such nice feedback. You are obviously all good people and that goes a long way towards making geo caching the pleasurable pastime that it is.

Thank you

Geocache Description:

THE POLE VAULT

This is a large cache hidden somewhere along the Kenilworth Greenway. Although it is a large cache it is camouflaged to fit in with its surroundings.  Find the answers to our simple quiz to get the co-ordinates.  Once there, the name of the cache will have significance? Parking can be found at N52 22.008  W001 34.963 if you fancy a fairly lengthy walk.

However, once you have located the cache, you will need to work out the number on the combination lock attached in order to open it.  So here’s the easy bit:

N52, then

22.ABC

A.  An alternative name in Britain for the mountain ash (Number of letters)

B.  George Harrison, former Beatle, died November 29 at the age of 58 in        which year?  200

C.  Who was the Desert Fox? (Number of letters)

W001, then

35.DEF

D. Once found in the fenlands but now extinct in England for well over 100 years the Large Copper is    still resident in Europe. What sort of creature is this?   (Number of letters)

E.   What is the word that represents the letter R in the Police Letters Alphabet?  (Number of letters)

F.    Triton is a moon of which planet? (Number of letters)

Once you have located the cache, you need to read the following paragraph.  Within this paragraph is a four word phrase that sounds almost identical to the four numbers that will open the cache.

“Oh dear”, said the man, “I am feeling extremely ill.”  Don’t worry dear, I have already phoned the doctor”, said his wife.  “Unfortunately he is very busy but will visit you in the next two or three hours”.  “Oh no” replied the man, “I need him to come immediately, I feel very poorly and I am too sick to wait”.
