St Peter's Church is in Oughtrington to the east of Lymm. The church was built in 1871–72 and forms the starting point for this two stage cache. The second stage is a short walk away over fairly good paths. These can be a bit muddy at times. There is water not far from the cache so please be careful with children.
Stage one involves finding information in the grounds of the church of St Peter's to determine the co-ordinates of Stage 2. The co-ordinates listed are for the church. A short walk on the path around the church should be all that is necessary, looking for information on some of the gravestones and benches. There should be no need to wander off the path although there is a little bit of grass path around the church’s far side.
The cache is located at N53 22.ABC W2 27.DEF, substituting as follows:
A – First digit of age of Jacobus Verbaan when he died.
B – Last digit of year Harry Barker died.
C – Last digit of year Gwladys Barker died.
D – Last digit of year Sir Oswald Davies born.
E – Last digit of age of Louise Abigail Booth when she died.
F – Digit for month of year when Ella Sinclair born.
The cache is a small clip lock Tupperware container, in camouflaged bag, with a few starting swaps.
You can park on the road past the church, or in the main high school car park but out of school hours only. It acts as a leisure centre also. Or why not park in Lymm village as a starting point to collect a few caches along the way. There are others in the area that could be on a circular route.
