Geocache Description:

easy cache in a state forest

This cache will bring you to an old cemetary on State forest lands in the Tug Hill. Back in the late 50s a dam was placed on the East Branch of Fish Creek. The lake that has been formed is great for canoeing and fishing. Take note that no motor boating is allowed. But the trout here can grow to huge sizes. Camping can be done here and the quiet is unbelievable.Years ago before the new bridge on Osceola road the only thing to be heard at night were the cars going over the old steel deck bridge and maybe an owl. Take a break and enjoy this "wild" area yet so close to civilization.
I've canoed for years on the lake and several times whitewatered from Yorkland road all the way down stream to Taberg what a blast. If you ever get a chance you'll see how they came up with Point Rock. The erosion from the two creeks makes a unreal pie slice like peak of rock that can seldom be seen anywhere else. This is an area we've enjoyed for many years and now we want to share it with you. So please come and enjoy Swancott Mill.
