Geocache Description:

A Backbone Trail Cache. Cammoed bison tube in something larger, much larger with a very green covering.

I'm not an expert on grasses in the Santa Monica Mountains, but I do know not to smoke this grass. Speaking of grass, when the Hondo Canyon Trail was being built the trail designer ran into a pot farm in a slightly flat area along the route. Irrigation was supplied by tapping into the fire hydrant up on Saddle Peak Road. Needless to say, all evidence it is long gone.

Look for an outie on the uphill side of the trail. Take your time to unlock the key to the cache and replace it securely. Or you might just move the key so that the cache can be extracted.

Expect 20 feet or poorer accuracy.
