Geocache Description:

A longing for freedom is a universal desire of mankind, whether talking about the little things of life or the big things. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. in his famous “I have a Dream” talk on August 28, 1962 captured this desire when he quoted the old Negro spiritual, “...free at last, free at last, I thank God I am free at last.”
Which brings us to one of the small things in life - geocaching. We are fairly new geocachers here in our area, but we were frustrated along with everyone else for several months when a cache thief was stealing things as fast as they were put out. Thanks to his unscheduled “vacation”, the last few weeks have been refreshing. Caches actually stay in place, even if you don’t get out to make the grab immediately. One of the consequences we observed when so many caches were being stolen, was that not many larger cache containers were being put out that had things in them other than just logs. This cache is meant to be a celebration of the fact that, at least for now, we can put some things out there - we are Free at Last!. Initially, this cache has a number of goodies in it, including a couple of travel bugs. Enjoy!
