Nimitz Beach Bug Box Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

WIHarleycouple: Well looks like this one is finally gone. I will not be replacing due to the area getting bad. Seems like too many people have decided to use this area as a latrine. For those that found it, thanks. For those that had DNF's, sorry, but I will be putting a new one out soon.

Geocache Description:

Not sure what to do with that large Travel Bug? Come to the Nimitz Beach Bug Box!!!!!
This one was placed here to get more caches in this part of the island. It is located on a really nice stretch of beach, with a nice view of town and Diamondhead. This beach is normally very busy on the weekends but do not be worried if there are a lot of cars, there is more than enough room for everyone. On weekdays it is almost empty. Close to the cache location you can even still find one of the old costal defense positions.
I as well as most of you am probably getting tired of 80-90% of all our finds being micros, no room for; Travel Bugs, Geocoins, Pathtags, and you have those tiny little logs. There is nothing wrong with a well placed micro in an appropriate place, or with great cammo ideas. So because of this I thought that this area could support something a bit larger even though it is a very busy area some days. You will just have to use a good amount of stealth when looking for and finding this one. Again this area has very high muggle traffic on the weekends. This cache container is also large enough to accommodate those larger harder to find a place to drop travel Bugs, but still be accessible enough to hopefully get a higher volume of traffic from both local and visiting Geocachers. I have placed it where it is hopefully out of the way of your general beach goers without you having to do any bushwhacking. The worst of it will be reaching in for it; it does have some natural protection in the form of thorns, although I did try to keep it out of most of the really bad ones. Please make sure you watch for muggles, and make sure that it is hidden well when replacing. I would really like to keep one this size in the area.
For the First to Find there is an un-activated coin for you to keep. We have also placed our first true traveling TB in the cache to be moved along. Thanks, and enjoy the hunt on the beach.
