4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Barrack St Jetty precinct which is a junction for Ferry and Bus services going up/down or around the river. It's a nice spot for a breakfast or lunch with the geofamily and makes a fantastic destination for a bike ride along the river foreshore - after which you can check out this cache!

The cache contains a log and has room for some small items. Bring your own pen. Care may be needed to grab the cache and replace it, depending on the amount of activity around at the time.

You do need to bring something fairly sharp, perhaps some keys or pen would do, to get the top off the cache. The top just pops off and should be replaced the same way, pressing the top on firmly before putting the cache back.

Reviewer notes

Use this space to describe your geocache location, container, and how it's hidden to your reviewer. If you've made changes, tell the reviewer what changes you made. The more they know, the easier it is for them to publish your geocache. This note will not be visible to the public when your geocache is published.
