Geocache Description:

Magnetic Keysafe container.

Cheshire Railings, the black and white iron fencing at road junctions and bends is a unique feature of the county's highway landscape dating back to 1929. Time and road accidents have unfortunately taken their toll. They were introduced as a safety measure.

Far from being exclusive I have noticed several of these in other Northern Counties.

There is great debate amongst Aficionados of this type of fencing as to whether the uprights should be one back and two white or one black and four white or all white that I have encountered or the ones at Jodrell Bank that are all black..

CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHEN SEARCHING AT THE SIDE OF ROADS.
