A new and much easier and shorter way to get there now! If you are on Route 27 heading north, go past the Carrabassett Airport and then just beyond the Carrabassett Inn, take a right onto Huse Mill Road. From the north, take a left just before the Carrabassett Inn.
Drive straight down the Huse Mill Road, a very short way until you see the new pedestrian and snowmobile bridge. Cross that and the other bridge and you will see a sign that says "Welcome, Carrabassett Narrow Gauge Pathway". Just a very short way to the cache. This is now a sort of "gateway" cache to the southern end of the Narrow Gauge Trail, a great place to picnic, hike, bike or even swim.
