Greatland Reviewer: Hello:

This cache page has been archived due to the lack of response to one or more prior Reviewer Note(s) about issue(s) with the cache and because the Cache Owner has not been online since April. If the owner would like to have the cache unarchived, please contact me through my profile as soon as possible before another cache gets placed nearby.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page requires it to go through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Congratulations to SSO JOAT and Alaskan Gold Dust for Co-FTF! Parking at Mile 85.6 Sterling Hwy at Scout Lake Recreation Site. Downhill walk on loose gravel to fun, warm water swim beach on lake. Short hike further down trail to cache site.

A not well known swim area and hiking trail system on NW side of Scout Lake Recreation Site. This is GeoDogHeidi's absolute favorite place to run and play, chase rabbits and rout grizzlies. When she wearies of "dreaming big" she retires to the lake for a lazy swim; after which, she returns to her primary task of clearing and protecting the hiking trails of unsavory interlopers. It is at GeoDogHeidi's request that this cache is placed at "her" junction, where she waits to see which trail we want to take on any given day. Take your time, this is an easy find. After logging your find continue hiking up the trail(s) and pick up another cache about 1/3 mile further. This way you get two for one. And, don't forget to stop for a swim or take your canoe out for a little fishing. This is a stocked lake and a great place to spend a little relaxed time with the kids or your always faithfull and energetic geo-pup. Log a pic, too; that is always fun. Remember, always CITO... Leave the area in a happy state.
