Geocache Description:

blood sample container now, bring a pen.

The cache is adjacent to Lavender Pond Nature Reserve, and Pumphouse museum.
Lavender Pond was one of the timber ponds where timber was stored floating to prevent it from drying and cracking.
In 1928 the Port of London Authority built the Pumphouse which housed the pumps that maintained water levels throughout Surrey Docks. It is one of the few buildings left from the time when the docks were in use.
It is now a museum (Mon-Fri, 10-4), including exhibits of artefacts collected from the Thames shore and a replica of the Queen's wedding cake.
